Banana Nice Cream
This frozen dessert is sure to become a new family fave.
- 4 Cavendish Bananas (see tip)
- 1 tbs honey
- ¼ cup thick coconut cream
- Ice cream wafers, to serve, optional
Peel banana. Place into a snap lock bag and freeze 6 hours or overnight until frozen.
Roughly chop the banana into 4cm pieces. Place the frozen bananas into a food processor. Process until finely chopped. Add the honey and coconut cream and continue processing until mixture resembles soft serve.
For soft serve, spoon immediately into chilled glasses, top with extra sliced banana and serve with wafers. Alternately spoon into a metal dish and freeze 2 hours, nice cream will be ideal to scoop into cones or bowls.
Banana, peanut butter and milo nice cream; Replace the honey with 3 tablespoons Milo and ¼ cup peanut butter. Process the banana until finely chopped. Add the milo, peanut butter and coconut cream. Process until mixture resembles soft serve.
Banana, mango & macadamia; Peel, chop and freeze the flesh from 2 large mangoes. Replace the honey with ¼ cup roasted chopped macadamia nuts. Process the banana until finely chopped. Add the frozen mango and coconut cream and process until mixture resembles soft serve. Remove to a metal dish, swirl through macadamia nuts. Serve.
Tip You can use Sugar Bananas, you will need 6 to serve 3 people.
Tip You can replace the coconut cream with coconut milk if you prefer.
