Rum Bananas
This traditional flambé recipe makes an exciting finale to any dinner party, yet is amazingly simple to prepare.

Preparation time: 10 minutes
Cooking time: 10 minutes

4 bananas, peeled
25g olive oil margarine, melted
1/3 cup brown sugar
1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
4 tablespoons rum (preferably O.P.)

1. Coat bananas in cinnamon and brown sugar.
2. Heat margarine in frypan.
3. Add bananas and sauté carefully until lightly caramelised and tender.
4. Turn down heat, bring rum to boil in a small pan ignite and pour over bananas.
5. Spoon burning rum and margarine in pan over fruit until the flames die down.
Serving Suggestion : Delicious with low fat vanilla ice cream.
